STRAWBERRY SORBET

Perfectly simple and delicious! Are you looking for a special elegant dessert or a great summer pick me up that’s easy to make yet leaves everyone wanting more…well here it is! This recipe can be a ton of fun, try different berries or even a splash of your favorite liquor for a very grown up treat!

INGREDIENTS
 
1 pint strawberries, washed and stemmed
1/2 cup orange juice, freshly squeezed
3/4 cup agave nectar (or your favorite liquid sweetener)
1 cup water
16 whole mint leaves
INSTRUCTIONS
 
1. In a food processor or blender, combine all ingredients; blend until liquefied.  Pour into an 11 x 7-inch baking pan.  Cover and freeze until firm around the edges, about 2 hours.
 
2. With a heavy spoon, break frozen mixture into pieces.  Place mixture in a processor or blender; blend until smooth, but be careful not to completely melt.
 
3. Scoop into a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan; cover and freeze until firm.  Serve within a few days.
